It is one of the large breeds which is very strong and powerful. Though its big in size Tibetan mastiff is quite affectionate and loyal in nature. This breed has a strong protective instinct so it has been used for protecting flocks and chasing predators. They can be alert with strangers, good socialization make them better. Tibetan Mastiffs are easy to train as it is an intelligent breed. The breed has a thick coat so needs to be groomed and brushed often. Being a large breed, Tibetan mastiffs need some god exercise though it should not be a vigorous one. Socializing is important to Tibetan mastiff puppies. A good breed if you are looking for a guard dog which can be easy with the family.
